Last month, independent estate agencies across Bristol and North Somerset – Morgan Beddoe, Brunt & Fussell and DW Smith & Co in Bristol, Parkers in Backwell, Hensons in Nailsea, Mark Templer in Clevedon and Yatton, Nightingales in Weston Super Mare, and all five branches of Westcoast Properties – launched a Spring Prize Draw with monthly prizes and two lucky homeowners set to become the ‘grand’ winners of £1,000 each to spend at their local garden centre.

With every property valuation by a participating agent before 30^th June, for either sales or property management purposes, comes an entry into the draw.

Well, the first of the monthly prizes have been announced, and Parker’s has a winner!

Parker’s valued a lovely four-bedroom home in Oakleigh Close in Backwell, for Mr & Mrs Essex on 24^th March, just a week before the first of the monthly draws took place at the Experts in Property headquarters in Exeter. Mr & Mrs Essex were entered into the draw and were chosen at random as one of the two first winners of £100 to spend in their local garden centre.

Mrs Essex was presented with her prize – a £100 voucher for Cleeve Garden Centre – last week, and she is very much looking forward to spending it on plants for the garden at their new home. Mrs Essex said: “Oh it’s absolutely amazing, we are delighted!”

Their bay-fronted semi-detached property is for sale with Parker’s and is attracting a great deal of interest. In a highly desirable location, the house is very well presented with a large entrance hall, living room with a wood burning stove, dining room with doors to the sun room, which has a solid roof and French doors out into the garden, cloakroom, and a modern kitchen fitted with granite surfaces and a breakfast bar as well as integrated Bosch appliances.
