£100 winners with Parker’s

Last month, independent estate agencies across Bristol and North Somerset – Morgan Beddoe, Brunt & Fussell and DW Smith & Co in Bristol, Parkers in Backwell, Hensons in Nailsea, Mark Templer in Clevedon and Yatton, Nightingales in Weston Super Mare, and all five branches of Westcoast Properties – launched a Spring Prize Draw with monthly prizes and two lucky homeowners set to become the ‘grand’ winners of £1,000 each to spend at their local garden centre.

With every property valuation by a participating agent before 30th June, for either sales or property management purposes, comes an entry into the draw.

Well, the first of the monthly prizes have been announced, and Parker’s has a winner!

Parker’s valued a lovely four-bedroom home in Oakleigh Close in Backwell, for Mr & Mrs Essex on 24th March, just a week before the first of the monthly draws took place at the Experts in Property headquarters in Exeter. Mr & Mrs Essex were entered into the draw and were chosen at random as one of the two first winners of £100 to spend in their local garden centre.

Mrs Essex was presented with her prize – a £100 voucher for Cleeve Garden Centre – last week, and she is very much looking forward to spending it on plants for the garden at their new home. Mrs Essex said: “Oh it’s absolutely amazing, we are delighted!”

Their bay-fronted semi-detached property is for sale with Parker’s and is attracting a great deal of interest. In a highly desirable location, the house is very well presented with a large entrance hall, living room with a wood burning stove, dining room with doors to the sun room, which has a solid roof and French doors out into the garden, cloakroom, and a modern kitchen fitted with granite surfaces and a breakfast bar as well as integrated Bosch appliances.

On the first floor are three bedrooms – the main with a bay window and en-suite shower room – and the family bathroom. The fourth bedroom is on the second floor and comes with its own en-suite.

The outside of the house is as attractive as the inside. The front garden is landscaped with a block paved driveway for two vehicles, a gate to the rear and an exceptionally large tandem garage. At more than 100ft, the rear garden is stunningly landscaped; lawned with borders of mature flowering shrubs, small trees, herbaceous plants and bulbs, patio areas, a large vegetable plot, greenhouse and shed.

Juliet Noble, partner of Parker’s in Backwell, said: “We are so thrilled that one of our clients has won one of the first £100 prizes in the Spring Draw. The couple are lovely and their home is beautifully presented. It is in a very popular road and the gardens are just amazing! It’s no wonder it is attracting a lot of interest.”
