04 May Meyers Wimborne & Broadstone – Seven months on
Meyers, the dynamic client and community-focused Dorset estate agency, expanded into Wimborne and Broadstone just a few months ago and already the branch is a force to be reckoned with.
Just 10 years since Meyers was originally founded in Dorchester, the multi award-winning estate agency has become a leading name in residential sales and lettings across the whole of Dorset and beyond.
Despite the Covid restrictions, Becky Peters established the Wimborne & Broadstone branch in September 2020, serving predominantly the BH18 and BH21 postcode areas of Wimborne, Broadstone, Corfe Mullen, Merley and Colehill, plus the surrounding areas including Sturminster Marshall, Holt and the beautiful villages adjoining these areas.
Her father was a builder and Becky grew up in Dorset with an interest in houses so chose to pursue her passion with a career in estate agency. 18 months ago, with one and a half decades of experience in the local market, many of those years in a management position, Becky decided to make a change and began the process of becoming a Meyers agent.
Since September, almost 50 homeowners have instructed Becky to sell their property and she has agreed sales on homes worth just over £9m, more than half of which have completed and are now occupied by their new owners.
With young children and a supportive family, Becky attributes her success in part to the Meyers flexibility in working hours, which is incredibly important to her. She is also a perfectionist and can boast actual sales prices at a staggering average of 99.12% of her asking prices.
Becky said: “I chose to work with Meyers because of their great core values of continual improvement to the affordability and experience for customers whilst supporting the local community, and to be the best – not the biggest or the most profitable. They are extremely innovative and forward-thinking with their approach.
“I understand that buyers can’t always view homes within the traditional restricted ‘office’ hours so, with the support of my husband and my Mum, I am available to work evenings and weekends to suit my buyers, with whom my personalised walk-through video tours are a massive hit. My clients could not get any more of a personal touch – I personally handle the whole process for them, from making sure their home is represented in the best possible way, right through to handing over their new keys. I am super proud to have achieved so much in such little time and am thankful that many of my new clients come to me through recommendation, which is such a lovely way to build a business.”
Meyers Wimborne & Broadstone is a member of the Experts in Property, the network for independent estate agents across the South West, which extends Meyers’ high street marketing capabilities more than 200 miles with fellow offices stretching from St Ives to Bristol.
Becky and all of the Meyers branches are currently participating in the Experts in Property Spring Draw, offering the chance to win monthly prizes as well as a ‘grand’ prize to homeowners with a valuation on their property.
